From Franklin: At the Hwy 64/441 intersection, take Hwy. 441 N (bypass). for 19.5 miles. Turn right on Hwy. 107 at Dillard. Stay on Hwy 107 through Dillard and Sylva for 14.5 miles. Cross the Tuckaseegee River and turn left on Shook Cove road. Go 3 miles to the entrance of Bear Lake Preserve. Go through the entrance and turn right at the first paved road.
